Paul Fusco was not only the voice of ALF, but also the creator, a producer, a director, and a writer at times for the show.
ALF, standing for Alien Life Form, crashed in the Tanner's yard after following a Ham Radio signal. Willie Tanner was the Amateur Radio operator that was sending the signals out that ALF overheard. There are many references and shots of ham radios and other related equipment throughout this series, mainly in Willie's garage.
